Safer handling of long loads with Combilift

Increased emphasis on improved safety standards in materials handling has prompted forklift truck owners to look for an alternative to traditional methods of handling long loads in restricted spaces, which typically involved potentially hazardous high-level transportation of goods, or an unwieldy combination of various forklifts to do the job. Safe Low-level transportation The engine-powered Combilift is essentially three machines in one, operating as a counterbalance forklift, sideloader and fourway truck. Its ability to travel in all directions enables long loads to be transported sideways along aisles as narrow as 2m and in and out of restricted entrances. This eliminates the necessity for high-level manoeuvres above racking, machinery and other obstacles, and reduces risk to personnel and stock

Optimum load stability The retractable mast allows the load to rest on the platform of the truck, rather than just on the two centre forks. This lowers the overall centre of gravity, cradles the load whilst travelling, and ensures optimum stability of the product. A range of attachments such as hydraulically operated fork positioners or four-fork spreader bars of various widths also provides extra security for extremely long or flexible loads

Away from smooth warehouse floors, the Combilift copes easily with semi-rough surfaces and gradients, with the threewheel configuration guaranteeing superior stability over four-wheel forklifts on uneven terrain and in snowy conditions
